In January 2018, more than 1,000 Richmonders turned out online and in a series of community meetings to help shape the North of Broad proposal, which was submitted to the city by NH District in February 2018. During those meetings and on the website, citizens were able to learn about the RFP from the City, review the project area, and read more about a possible financing structure.
Community Engagement meetings were held across the city at six locations in January. Residents could learn about the City's RFP, read about financing structures, and even participate in a land use activity using blocks to design neighborhoods with residential, commercial, and retail and restaurant spaces, along with a hotel, arena, and government buildings.
Now, there’s more to do — and there’s room for everyone. We want and need your voice. Attend a community meeting, ask questions, see the plans, and give your input. Meetings are being scheduled and will begin this summer. Sign up to our newsletter and we will keep you posted with updates.
